A bold timepiece with exhibitionist design, the Invicta Men's 1089 Russian Diver Mechanical Skeleton Dial Blue Polyurethane Watch evokes the image of the Russian diver to bring about an exceptional timepiece with vivid color. The watch begins with a prominent 52mm stainless steel case with a coin-edge bezel and a huge screw-down crown with a protective cap attached to the case with stainless steel chain. These elements surround a silver skeleton dial with a blue border with white second and hour markers, as well as blue hands powered by mechanical hand-wind movement. The dial elements are all protected by a flame-fusion crystal. The blue polyurethane strap with stainless steel barrel accents bring even more color as it wraps around to the buckle clasp.

Nice very large watch 
Love the skeleton watch feature and winding it - no batteries to run down. I like the watch but be warned - it is very large/heavy. The cap that goes over the winding thingie is very large -make sure you order the one with the winder away from your wrist, they make both sides apparently. This was perfect for me as I wear watches on the right hand. If you wear the watch on the left, get the one with the winder on the left side - they call it the lefty.
Overall its running well, is very big and heavy for a watch - people notice it and keeps good time. Can wear it with long sleves though way too big. Overall happy :2012-04-07 16:02:34
Huge Watch
This a watch that you will either want to show it off or you will think that its hideously ugly. This is the widest watch I have ever seen. Like others have noted if you wear the watch on your left hand, the crown will dig into the back of your hand. I am a big guy 62 280 lbs and this watch still looks very large on my wrist. If you are a medium to smaller guy this watch probably isn for you. I actually like the wind up feature because I know that I will never have to replace the battery and it keeps good time. This what I would call a blue jean watch. The blue strap and face really stand out. This skeleton watch also comes in black. Beautiful, Unique, Very Durable, but one complaint
I did not purchase this watch through Amazon but I wish I had because I paid about $50 more than it is priced here, and I thought I was getting a great deal.
As for the watch, it is an excellent example of why I love Invicta: High quality, modern design, consistent head turning ability, at a phenomenal price. The case is huge, but that is perfect for me. I am 63 and 260 lbs with a 9 1/2 wrist so the bigger the better. The crystal is very scratch resistant and the rubber used for the band is top quality. It feels soft and pliable yet is tough as hell and is perfect for wearing in our Arizona heat.
My one and only complaint is the size of the crown. If you wear the watch on your left wrist it digs into the back of your hand and after a full day, that can become quite unbearable. I had not purchased any Invicta watches with this feature before, and for that exact reason, but I loved the look and feel of this style so much I caved. A little pain for the sake of fashion is not too high a price. Women have been enduring style induced agony for centuries, right ladies?? :2012-04-07 16:02:09

Bling bling
I got this watch in the mail three days ago and I have been wearing it everywhere I go and it definitely is a head turner. The feel and quality of the watch is superb. Its heavy so I wouldn suggest wearing it for a long time because it can be uncomfortable but thats just me. One more thing, if you have a big arm and wrist then this would look great on you and makes you look even more masculine. :2012-04-07 16:01:32
Beautiful Watch
I received this watch on 7/28/11 and this is now my 4th Invicta. All i have to say is, this is one beautiful watch. It looks like im wearing a piece of art on my wrist, and i love watching the mechanical parts moving. I find myself staring at this watch, and can get over how nice this thing is. Yeah, you have to wind it everyday, but for the price, you can beet it. Id definitely recommend this to anyone thats into BBWs Big Beautiful Watches...LOL :2012-04-07 16:01:15

Skeletal Hugeness
Big and Beautiful is one way to describe this timepiece. Invicta has released a very appealing Skeleton Watch that although doesn have Swiss Movement still works like a charm.
This piece, a skeleton watch with both back and front views, is aesthetically amazing. It does not need 24K Gold, Diamonds and a whole bunch of Swarovski Crystals embedded everywhere, it seems that the more lingy a watch looks the better it will sell in this current market. Nothing could be further from the truth.
In fact its the simplicity of watching time tick away that leaves you feeling satisfied with the Invicta Russian Diver Skeleton.
My reasoning for giving this watch a 4 star review is mainly due to its striking pose, combine that with an affordable price which swayed me to change this to 5 stars. You get a great watch for an even better price - I paid $130 for mine, the MSRP of $1395 is quite off but the MSRP for nearly all of Invictas pieces are by no means a guide to the value of the watch.
The watch does not scratch easily, it has had 3 months of wear, and I would wear it at least once a week, I would wear it more often than normal if it wasn so big, if you have a small wrist or if you have not seen a Invicta Russian Diver in person, you may want to reconsider as this watch truly is a beast, so much so that it took at least a month of wear until I felt comfortable having what felt like a couple of pounds on my wrist.
Also of note is this watch and its huge crown, annoyingly if you do not put the watch on properly and it slips loosely on your wrist you will find that the crown and its massive cap, connected by a chain, will hit your wrist and can be quite uncomfortable. This problem would also arise if your wrist was too small.
Fortunately I had a number of Russian Divers and know how big they are so this was not an issue.
In conclusion Invicta have laid down a solid foundation of Skeleton Watches that look the part, this model may not have the luxury of Swiss Movement but the manual wind is not so bad and it keeps time well.
You would be hard pressed to find a large watch like this with Skeleton features front and back for less than $150, if you can, good luck to you. :2012-04-07 16:00:54
Amazing Quality and Design

Click and Twist
Beautiful watch. Absolutely massive. I was not sure how to wind it but, eventually figured it out. The crown must be spun clockwise and that gives it enough for the day. Manual included is about as generic as can be. Has every watch design Invicta makes. Its nice to have pictures but, it says nothing about the watch in hand. :2012-04-07 16:00:31
big bold and beautiful
I woukd first like to say this watch is very large. it dwarfs a gatorade cap to give u an idea how large we are talking. it has a ton of detail and the timepiece is extremely high quality with what appear to be saphire gear teeth. if u are looking for a flashy piece with a ton of character this is the watch for you. it is def a $1400 quality watch. i recommend. :2012-04-07 16:00:19

Uber-Awesome Watch
I just got this watch for my boyfriend as a Valentines Day present, and it is a show stopper all the way! We looked at a lot of Invicta watches and this was his favorite because of the color and he wanted a skeleton watch, and now everyone at his work wants one and was completely awed by it. He is a cook and went to work the other night, he took off his watch and put it on a shelf in the kitchen and everyone from the head chef to the female servers did a double take when they walked by it and picked it up and asked who the hells watch is this? No one has seen anything like it and neither have we- definitely a timepiece and the Swiss craftsmanship is superb! It doesn have a battery so you have to keep winding it but my boyfriend really likes that feature, beware if that doesn appeal to you. Anyways, highly recommended- my only disappointment was that when I went to buy the watch it was out of stock from Amazon so I bought it from another seller, and while it was shipping Amazon put it back in stock for $15 cheaper! Big, sturdy conversation starter
This is a big sturdy cool watch. Had to stop wearing it to night classes it gets a lot of attention, instructor did not like the distraction. All kidding aside, well crafted, comfortable for a big watch. When you have poor vision this big crown is easy to view and the inner workings, design make it very appealing to look at.
Now wearing this in the ocean? Surfing is mostly paddling this thing is sturdy and heavy so for the surf, I put on the cheapo timex. :2012-04-07 15:59:36
