Invicta Russian Diver Watch 
Initially, the size of the watch caught my attention. After reviewing many photos, I really liked the bold look of the watch. Additionally, Id never seen a watch look so masculine and be able to look great with a dinner jacket on!

Amazing Purchase
I bought this for my husbands birthday & its perfect! We both love it & can believe how beautiful it is. Only time will tell how durable it is but, right now its great. He has large wrists so the bulky watch is perfect & very masculine. It was delivered in a beautiful bright yellow box which will help keep the watch beautiful over time. Happy little Vegemite
I wanted the Invicta Russian Divers #4338 watch - my first Amazon purchase. The watch took it bit over 3 weeks to be delivered, not an Amazon problem rather delays in Australia which are unexplained. The watch was delivered to my door and in good packaging. Upon opening my parcel I was totally impressed - the watch is first class and looks very impressive, a real quality product in every way. Amazon were amazing in customer service when I queried the delivery delay - not effort was too much to help. very satisied, albeit shocked by the size of the piece
This makes a very nice everyday watch, for wearing with a pair of sweats or jeans around campus. Even after reading reviews, I was still shocked by the size of the watch! This alone rules it out of the dressy equation.. however overall I am very satisfied with my purchase; the watch shipped in the blink of an eye and came in very nice Invicta packaging. Nice stealthy watch
Since I own 2 other Russian Divers, I knew what to expect for size. BIG AND BOLD. I love the black IP treatment on the case and the matching black strap. Right out of the Russian Sub fleet with the CCCP logo on the dial. I was a little disappointed to find the words swiss made missing from the bottom of the watch face as depicted in the online photo when I ordered it, and replaced with the words swiss movt. It was also a little bit of a shock to find there is no sweep second hand on this model as I assumed there would be as even the most basic three hand watches have today. I guess the old saying buyer beware still has merit. That being said however, I love the watch and have no regrets. If you are on the fence, just get it. You will love it. :2012-04-07 16:40:21
Great Watch, Better Buy
I purchased this watch about a month ago, and so far I must say, it is awesome. I actually prefer big face watches to your run-of-the-mill watches as I am 62 and everything I own is big.
The watch itself is somewhat heavy, but not to the point where it is noticeable while I wear it; however when I take it off to show it to friends they always comment on its weight. To me it looks like a regular sized watch when Im the one wearing it. It doesn call as much attention as other people have said in their reviews, however this is not a bad thing. I believe the colors on the watch make it sporty, yet sleek in an almost dressy way.
So far I have nothing but good things to say about this purchase. I would certainly recommend this particular model compared to other Invicta watches. :2012-04-07 16:40:06
Over The Top
I love it. This is a great watch for those who like their watches to be different; its huge, heavy, and impossible to ignore. There are, however, two things to be aware of. The strap could be a little longer - if you have large wrists, it could be a problem. More of issue is that the cover-bezel over the crown does project some ways and can tend to dig into the back of your wrist. Still, for the price, theres absolutely nothing to complain about! Fantastic, beautiful watch
This is a fantastic, beautiful watch. Its large, heavy and something a man would be proud wearing for a night out with friends or in the right work setting. Its a fantastic conversation piece -- and it keeps great time. I was attracted to this watch because of its utilitarian look and it delivered. Big watch
This its my first Invicta watch.
I have no majors complains about it, the usual said here:
I wear it to the third wirst band.
the only complain its that the black finnish its very delicate, i hit my watch with a concrete surface working under the kitchen sink a very light hit and 2 scratch marks where made.

Durable Quality W
I have owned this watch close to a year now and let me say I am very impressed. I wear this watch 24/7 like its part of me lol. Its not just fashion for me its a tool. Working in an industrial environment as a heavy equipment mechanic can take its toll on watches. Just for an example I bought a decent casio it lasted less than a week because the face was so scratched I couldn read the time anymore. This watch has a mineral dial window and has proven durable. I use pneumatic tools and the vibration is pretty harsh with no negative effects on this watch. Paint overspray no problem, grease, grime, and dirt no problem either just clean it up and your good to go. Im not going to sit here and tell you that it still looks brand new but considering what this watch has been through it still looks good. The face of this watch is large and easy to read which is one of the reasons why I bought it plus the military look. Now my only grip about this watch is the big hand dial capsule that rubs the back of my hand just before the wrist which has giving me a slight callus, but like I said I wear it 24/7. big, awesome watch
I love this watch. the chain attached to the crown that unscrews is a cool detail that makes the watch very unique. another thing that makes it unique; its HUGE. Im 64, 240 pounds, so I was looking for a big watch on here. I was very happy when I saw that it filled up a good space on my wrist, most watches look smaller or normal on me because Im a bigger guy, but this one stands out. Its all black, so its definitely sleek, but gets attention all on its own as well. Great watch and for the price Invictas can go for 700 or more, depending on the model, I was extremely happy with my purchase. :2012-04-07 16:39:11
Big and Bold
I had been planning on purchasing a new watch for a while now. I don normally wear watches, instead I just use a cell phone to get the time. But my new phone has a screen lock that is a bit of a hassle to get unlocked JUST in order to see the time, so I started looking for a watch.
I have seen different Invicta watches on Amazon before and really liked some of them. I didn know much about them so I started doing some research and found that most people say the quality is very good for the price.
After looking at quite a few of them on the Invicta Store here on Amazon I stumbled across the Russian Diver. I really liked the looks of it as soon as I saw it. Then I saw the size at 52mm and was a bit startled. Thats a LOT of watch!!!
I ended up ordering it while it was a Deal of the Day and Im really happy I did. As usual, shipping was super fast and the packaging was exceptional.
When I opened the watch I was immediately taken by the size of the watch. 52mm as a size seems large when you
e using a ruler...but when you actually see the size of this gigantic watch it will probably catch you off guard. Not only is it wide, its also pretty deep. What I mean by that is it sticks off of your wrist quite a bit.
The face of it is beautiful. Every detail of it just works. The numbers fit with the face perfectly, the hands fit perfectly, the date fits in wonderfully and doesn look out of place, and the green surround offsets the black of the watch excellently.
The black metal is awesome. Its shiny and subtle at the same time, which in my opinion is great because you need the color to be slightly subtle on a watch this size.
Ive read many opinions on different websites that suggest that the chain for the canteen cover doesn fit the watch very well, but I disagree. I think the chain does a great job of finishing off the overall aesthetic of the piece. I wouldn ever think of taking the chain off of mine.
The overall weight of the watch on the wrist is definitely more than Im used to. Like I said, I don normally wear watches and when I do they aren anywhere near as large as this one. The weight takes some getting used to, definitely.
Ive only had the watch for a short while, but Ive already gotten several compliments on it. Its definitely a piece that draws attention to it. People see you and are instantly drawn to it.
All in all, Im extremely pleased with the purchase. I wouldn hesitate to buy another Invicta watch, and the 5 year warranty that comes with the timepiece through Amazon is a wonderful addition. :2012-04-07 16:38:58
SIMPLICITY AS AN ART FORM
I almost passed over this beauty because I normally like more complicated dials such as chronographs. While searching the web for watches, every time I saw this watch I stopped and stared. This watch is art in simplified form. It doesn even have a second hand! The big black face and narrow bezel showcase the oversized arabic numerals and large markers all done in luminous green. Everything you see on the dial is luminous, and I mean everything!- including the divers helmet, the Invicta name, every letter, and even the date window is outlined. To top it off the entire face is encircled with a luminous band. Awesome. No other watch lights up like this one. On the side of the case opposite the crown is the engraved Invicta name. The rubber strap is high quality and extra thick. The bezel, case, barrel inserts, and buckle, have the appearance of polished black onyx against the flat black color of the strap. The coin edging around the bezel looks great from the side. Another thing Invicta is doing right is that as they make the larger watches they are keeping all of the dimensions proportional. As they get wider they also increase in depth sitting higher on the wrist. Ive seen other brands that look like little flat pancakes from the side. Not appealing to me. Invicta watches are great quality overall. If your getting into large watches no one has more styles than Invicta, and that goes for their regular size watches as well. By the way I have a 7 1/4 inch wrist which is small, and I can wear up to 52mm in the Invicta line. Don be afraid to give the larger watches a try. Good luck! :2012-04-07 16:38:45
A great diver's watch
If you are looking for a nice, somewhat dressy looking divers watch, this might fit your needs. While the yellow or orange are certainly showy, this one is just casual enough but does not look as if you just came out of the water. I have been wearing mine for three days now and am really enjoying it. It is a large watch but is not uncomfortable. You will certanly have no trouble seeing the time during the day or night nor will anyone else that is sitting around you. It is holding good time and I assume that it will continue to do so. Nice large watch
I purchased this watch as addition to my collection of affordable watches that I don just store in box but also can wear.
This watch is large at 52mm but it is not uncomfortable on wrist. The weight is amazing for its size. The numbers and hands are very bright at night and can be clearly seen.
The rubber bracelet is very comfortable and not irritating skin. However, it is unusual short for the watch this size. I have wear it on the third hole from the end. But its not a problem at least from me but some people with larger hands might not be able to fit this watch.
The price is also right in a spot for quart movement swiss made watch. If you can see my previous reviews, I always like quartz watches though recently I purchased few mechanical watches. I am ime-accuracy freak so having perfect time is must for me and this watch keeps perfect time.
The only thing that this watch is missing is a second hand. But because I am not wearing this watch at time when seconds play much difference, I am ok with it as well.
I am highly recommending this watch to men with medium to large size arm/wrist. Men with small hand may find this watch too heavy and too large. :2012-04-07 16:38:21
